10-Day Rwenzori Trek | Mount Stanley & Baker via Kilembe
A 10-Day Rwenzori Trek | Mount Stanley & Mount Baker via Kilembe Circuit. In just ten days, the most daring mountaineers can complete the Rwenzori Peaks Trek, climbing 5,109 meters to the top of Mount Stanley and 4,842 meters to the peak of Mount Baker. The “Mountains of the Moon” are a place of tranquil glacial beauty, abundant flora, and grand scenery. There will be plenty of time for adjustment because this trip is slow.
A strange alpine landscape of lofty lobelias, valleys covered in moss, and clean mountain lakes awaits you after a slow ascent from Kasese via the Kilembe Trail, which winds its way through lush Afro-montane forests and bamboo zones. Two of Rwenzori’s loftiest summits can be reached using this method. While staying in strategically placed camps, you will have the opportunity to go on acclimatisation excursions.
