The 8-Day Queen Elizabeth And Rwenzori Marathon Itinerary begins with a scenic transfer to the foothills of the Rwenzori mountains where you will prepare for a hilarious hike through the Mahoma loop that takes you the the deepest lake in the Rwenzori mountains. You trek through dense forests in the afro alpine landscapes. From Rwenzori you will continue to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Weisman And Rwenzori Marathon
The adventure of Weisman and Rwenzori marathon takes you through the beautiful Rwenzori mountains, also known as the mountains of the moon. The journey starts off with a scenic transfer from Kampala to Kasese and is followed by a 5-day guided trek through the Rwenzori mountain on Kilembe trail. Along the trek, you will pass through thick forests, bamboo zones and high alpine landscapes filled with unique plants and wildlife.
Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon Routes
The Tusker Lite Rwenzori Marathon in Kasese, Uganda, features certified 42km, 21km, 10km, and 5km routes, held in August. The 42km “Equator Marathon” starts at the Equator and passes through Queen Elizabeth National Park. The 21km “Kilembe Half Marathon” runs into the scenic Rwenzori foothills, with all races finishing at Stanley Street in Kasese town.
